Chemistry & Chemical Biology / New Brunswick |
GRE
The Graduate Program in Chemistry requires all applicants to submit their scores on the General and Advanced (Subject)
examinations. International applicants are considered only after receipt of both General & Subject scores. In general, applicants are expected
to score in the 70th percentile or higher in the Advanced (chemistry) and Quantitative tests. The sum of the Verbal and
Quantitative scores must equal 1,000 or more. If you send the Chemistry Program copies of the GRE and TOEFL score report
you receive, it will hasten the decision on your application. The GRE and TOEFL scores often reach us long after they
should.
TOEFL
A score of 600(paper)/250(computer)/100(IBT) or above is required.
The University requires all international applicants whose native language is not English to submit the score they have obtained. Almost the only exception is made for applicants who have studied three or more years at the undergraduate or preparatory school level in an English speaking country. If you think you qualify as an exception, please indicate why.
The application form is available online from the Office of Graduate and Professional Admission.
