Falu Hu

Falu Hu fbe83Postdoc Associate (2018 - Present)

 

Falu Hu was born in Shandong, China, in 1990. He received his PhD degree in Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018 under the supervisionof Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Maochun Hong. In 2018, he joined Prof. Jing Li's group as a postdoctoral fellow. His research interests include design and synthesis of new porous materials and their application in selective adsorption and fluorescence.

Xing Huang

Xing HuangPostdoc Associate (2019 - Present)

 

Xing Huang received his PhD degrees in organic chemistry in 2018 from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences under supervision of Prof. Daoben Zhu and Prof. Wei Xu. He joined Prof. Jing Li’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2019. His studies focus on the design and synthesis of novel electrically conductive coordination polymers and inorganic-organic hybrids.

Xiaoyuan Liu

Xiaoyuan LiuPostdoc Associate (2018 - Present)

 

Xiaoyuan got his PhD degree from East China University of Science and Technology in 2018. During his PhD, he has been a visiting student to Boston College (Prof. Frank Tsung group) and University of California, Berkely (Prof. Peidong Yang group). In 2018, he joined Prof. Jing Li group as a postdoctoc. His researches focus on the synthesis and application of metal-organic frameworks and covalent-organic frameworks.

Shikai Xian

Huaqing YinPostdoc Associate (2019 - Present)

 

Shikai Xian received his Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering in Sept. 2015 from South China University of Technology. During Oct. 2015~ Aug. 2019, he worked in Guangzhou Liby Enterprise Group as a senior R&D engineer. He joined Prof. Jing Li’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in Nov. 2019. His research focuses on the synthesis of novel Metal-organic frameworks for gas adsorption and separation.

Xiuze Hei

xiuze heiPh.D. Studert (2017 - Present)

 

Xiuze graduated from Wuhan University in China with a B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2017 before he entered Rutgers Chemistry Ph. D. program and joined Dr. Li’s group. He worked in a material lab for 3 years and focused on the nanostructured functional materials and their energy-related applications during his undergraduate. Now he is at his first year in the Ph.D. program with his research focusing on the design and synthesis of inorganic-organic hybrid materials as efficient phosphors.

Ever Velasco

ever velasco 300Ph.D. Student (2015 - Present)

 

Ever obtained his B. Sc. from Rutgers-Newark in 2015 and then joined Prof. Jing Li group at Rutgers-New Brunswick as a graduate student. He is now at his second year in the Ph. D. program with his research focusing on the design and synthesis of multifunctional metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for phosphors, catalysis, gas adsorption etc.

Xiang Zeng

Xiang zengPh.D. Student (2018 - Present)

 

Xiang Zeng graduated from Wuhan University in China with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2018 before she entered Rutgers Chemistry Ph.D. program and jointed Jing group at Rutgers. Her research currently focuses on design and synthesis advanced functional materials.

Guoyu Zhang

guoyu ZhangPh. D. Student (2019 - Present)

 

Guoyu obtained his B. Sc. from Jilin University in China in 2017 and then he joined Rutgers-New Brunswick as a master student in Medicinal Chemistry. He transferred to the Chemistry graduate program and joined Prof. Jing Li's group in 2018 spring. His research mainly focuses on design and synthesis of porous metal-organic frameworks.

Kun Zhu

kun zhu 300Ph.D. Student (2016 - Present)

 

Kun graduated from Tianjin University in China with a B.S in Chemical Engineering in 2014 and then joined Rutgers-New Brunswick as a master student in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. He transferred to the Chemistry graduate program and joined Prof. Jing Li's group in 2016. His research interests are primarily in the design, synthesis, characterization and device fabrication of crystalline inorganic-organic hybrid materials for different applications.

Boxuan Li

Huaqing YinM. S. Student (2020 - Present)

 

Boxuan obtained his B.E degree of materials at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in 2019. Then he came to Rutgers as a master student in chemistry and in 2020 he joined Dr. Jing Li’s group. He is interested in the synthesis of metal-organic-frameworks to capture and sense heavy metals.

Guangping Lei

Huaqing YinVisiting Scholars (2019 - Present)

 

Guangping Lei obtained his Ph. D. from Chongqing University in 2015 and then worked at School of Energy and Power Engineering, North University of China. Now, he is a visiting scholar in Prof. Li’ group. His main research interest is the design and synthesis of porous materials for gas mixture separation and energy storage.

Fan Yang

Huaqing YinExchange Ph.D. Student (2019 - Present)

 

Fan Yang is a Ph.D. candidate in the College of Chemistry and Materials Science, Northwest University, China. She joined Prof. Li’s group and worked as a joint Ph.D. student from September 2019. Her research currently focuses on design, synthesis, Structure characterization and modification of MOFs and their applications in gas separation and chemical sensing.

Evan Lenkeit

Evan entered Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 2019 majoring in Chemistry and Biology. He joined the Li Group in his freshman year in September 2019. He currently works with Ever Valesco in designing and synthesizing new metallic-organic frameworks (MOFs).

Tithi Thakkar

Tithi is an NJIT transfer student currently pursuing a B.S in Chemical Engineering as a sophomore. She plans on attending Graduate School to further excel in her studies. She joined Dr. Jing Li's research during Fall 2018 at Rutgers and is currently working under her mentor, Xiuze Hei, on synthesizing inorganic-organic hybrid materials.
