Arriving on campus around noon on March 25th, Congressman Rush Holt took a brief tour of the Wright-Rieman Chemistry complex and was briefed on building renovation needs and plans.  Professors Eric Garfunkel, Kathryn Uhrich, Roger Jones and other department members discussed one proposal to renovate a wing of the complex, about 25,000 square feet of laboratory space, and another proposal to erect a new building.

Holt’s visit was aimed at highlighting the news that $22 billion in new funding for science research has been included in the federal economic stimulus package.
