Jongwook received his B.S. and M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Hanyang University in Seoul Korea, under the direction of Professor Sang-Man Koo. He then received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York, NY in Inorganic Chemistry while working for Professor Jack R. Norton. His research interests include transition-metal hydrides and metal-catalyzed activation of unreactive bonds and their applications. He is a current employee of Dow Chemical Company. In his spare time, Jongwook enjoys watching and analyzing sports and playing board games.
