Jaime received the BSc degree at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. After completing his masters in Analytical Chemistry he pursued doctoral studies in Inorganic Chemistry at UT Arlington under Prof. H. V. Rasika Dias with the thesis “The Chemistry of Fluorinated Triazapentadienyl Coinage Metal Complexes”. As a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University he gained experience in bond activation processes with titanium, copper and silver and with redox active ligands under Prof. Kenneth Caulton and Prof. Daniel Mindiola. Then, he moved to New Jersey where his work in the Goldman group focused on the synthesis of iridium based catalysts and C-H bond activation of hydrocarbons. Jaime is currently working for Honeywell in Virginia.
