Kun received his Ph.D. from Rutgers in 1995 under Alan. After a brief stint as a post-doc with Jim Mayer at the University of Washington in Seattle, he returned to Jersey and joined Exxon (now ExxonMobil) Research and Engineering Company in Clinton, NJ. He is currently working in the areas of materials and catalysis.
