Our primary objective is to provide conferees with the highest quality scientific program in an equally inspiring setting. The Organizing Committee has selected Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor as our official meeting site for The Seventieth Calorimetry Conference. This luxury hotel is situated along the picturesque Inner Harbor of Charm City with easy access to a multitude of exciting museums, historic landmarks such as Fort McHenry, and a host of sightseeing attractions including the National Aquarium.

The Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor incorporates the latest amenities and innovative technologies that provide our conferees with an unrivaled meeting experience in Charm City. Colleagues are encouraged to invite family members and/or accompanying guests to enjoy first class hotel accommodations with a panoramic view of the Inner Harbor. Standard features include complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, an outdoor pool and sundeck, 24-hour fitness/workout center, hot tub, and three mile jogging trail along the Inner Harbor connected to the hotel via a skywalk.

The Calorimetry Conference has negotiated an extremely attractive rate on guest accommodations at Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor during the official meeting dates of July 11 - 16, 2015. The single/double occupancy rate of USD 150 per night reflects the standard US government per diem and represents a substantial discount relative to the standard rate offered at this hotel during the summer season. Attendees must reserve their guest rooms at Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor by 27 JUNE 2015 to ensure accommodations at these specially negotiated conference prices.

Conferees may reserve their accommodations by clicking the HYATT REGENCY BALTIMORE ON THE INNER HARBOR - ONLINE RESERVATIONS box which accesses a special link on the hotel web site that is dedicated exclusively for registrants of The Seventieth Calorimetry Conference. The reservation system automatically populates the contracted group rate so conferees are not required to enter a discount code. The Organizing Committee advises conference participants to secure their accommodations prior to the reservation deadline as we cannot guarantee availability of rooms at the contracted rate past the cutoff date.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATIONS

Young scientists represent the future of research at the interface of core disciplines and emerging technologies. The Conference Organizing Committee strongly advocates student participation at CALCON 2015 by encouraging principal investigators to register their younger colleagues. The Seventieth Calorimetry Conference is subsidizing student registration fees (i.e., USD 295) and arranging shared accommodations to demonstrate our organization's ongoing commitment to actively promote young scientist participation.

Students may elect to share a room at the double occupancy rate of USD 150 per night (i.e., USD 75.00 apiece), the triple occupancy rate of USD 170 per night (i.e., USD 58.33 apiece), or the quad occupancy rate of USD 200 per night (i.e., USD 50.00 apiece) to reduce their overall lodging rates. The combination of reduced registration fees and shared accommodations allows students to attend The Seventieth Calorimetry Conference at an affordable rate of USD 670.00 (e.g., USD 375.00 for five nights of double occupancy lodging plus USD 295.00 conference registration fee). Similarly, conferees traveling on a restricted budget may select the double occupancy rate to attend CALCON 2015 at a reasonable cost of USD 970.00 (e.g., USD 375.00 for five nights double occupancy lodging plus USD 595.00 conference registration fee). Conferees are advised to reserve accommodations early to ensure availability of their preferred lodging option.

EARLY ARRIVALS AND/OR LATE DEPARTURES

Conference participants and their families may wish to experience all of the excitement that the Charm City offers as a summer destination by extending their stay at Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor. CALCON has negotiated special contracted room rates that are applicable for arrival three days prior (JULY 08-10) and/or departure three days following (JULY 17-19) the official conference dates. Conferees who intend to arrive early and/or depart later are reminded that Hyatt Regency Baltimore on The Inner Harbor is an extremely popular venue. Early registration is advisable as the reduced rate for pre- and post-conference dates are subject to room availability.
